Umami-Packed Mushroom and Garlic Stir-Fry

For a quick and savory dish, try this mushroom stir-fry that highlights the natural umami in Shiitake and Maitake mushrooms.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup Maitake mushrooms, torn into pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tsp mushroom powder (optional)
  • Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley (optional)

 

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the Shiitake and Maitake mushrooms, stirring occasionally until they’re golden and tender.
  3. Add the soy sauce and mushroom powder, stirring to coat the mushrooms evenly.
